USN to become Carbon Neutral by 2030, and what that means for classroom temperatures

Editor’s Note, April 2: Happy April F0ol’s, folks.

As part of USN’s effort to become carbon neutral by 2030, construction has begun on a new underground geothermal heating unit, similar to those used on college campuses. As part of this goal, a new policy is being enacted at the start of next school year, that classroom thermostats are not to be set below 80 degrees. “We all have to do our part in the fight against climate change,” Director of Operations Eric Mash said in an announcement to faculty on Thursday.
