The Peabody Press’s Holiday Gift Guide

If you’re struggling to find unique gifts this holiday season, or even just want inspiration for your own wishlist, our holiday gift guide can help give you fun ideas for winter gifting.

We’ve separated these categories based on types of people you might have on your shopping list, so that you can find a present based on their interests that they’ll (hopefully*) love.

The Crafter

It’s Paw-sible: You can make your very own snoopy with this crochet kit. (via Woobles)

The Crafter in your life is always trying to DIY something new. Their house is filled with half-finished projects and every material from air-dry clay to calligraphy pens. Their favorite app is Pinterest. They will love a new hobby to try (even if it means abandoning their old ones), so give them that chance this holiday season Wobbles Crochet Kits ($30) can help even the most clueless beginner learn to crochet like a pro. They have a variety of style options, from stuffed animals to minecraft mobs, and even a tiny beanie.

The Sports Fan

Former NFL player Bo Jackson currently films custom Cameos for birthdays, pep talks, and even proposals. (via Cameo)

The Sports Fan is always going to games, hoping that their parlay to hit, or watching their favorite commentator. They probably get intense about Fantasy Football and have strong opinions on recent trades. If your Sports Fan has a favorite athlete, analyst or coach, you’ll likely be able to find them on Cameo. This is a website where you pay a fee to have available celebrities film a short video for someone with a script you write. You can make it sentimental or funny, and prices range from only a few dollars to hundreds, so you can tailor it exactly to the recipient.

The Chef

Topping the list: An example of a DIY pizza kit that you could put together. (via Oriental Trading)

This friend has kept you supplied with mouthwatering meals all year, and now it’s your turn to give them something back.  Make or buy a pizza kit ($15) complete with a pizza dough mix ($8) for the chef. (TIP: The kit is perfect to give someone and then spend an evening making homemade pizzas together!)

The Baker

CUTe-These cookie cutters make even the most basic sugar cookies stand out. (via Willaims Sonoma)

Get the baker a cute vintage cake stand ($25-$50) so they can show off their creations. Or, if you’re feeling whimsical, get them some fun baking tools like these mini holiday cookie cutters ($20) that you can be sure they don’t already have.

The Reader

A stunning example of an embossment. (via Simply Stamps)

The Reader likes to spend their Friday nights cozied up in bed with a good book. Get them their very own customized book embosser ($15) or stamp so that they can personalize their library, or a blind date with a book  ($14-but you can also just wrap a second-hand book yourself!) where they get to try a brand-new title from their favorite genre (TIP: throw in a bookmark, candy, and stickers related to the book for an all-inclusive experience).

The Athlete

The TOLOCO massage gun claims that it can help break down lactic acid in your muscles. (image via Amazon.com)

The Athlete likes to spend their mornings, evenings, and even afternoons at the gym or at practice. They usually wear athleisure, and are always chasing their next PR. Get them a massage gun ($40) so they can recover and repair. Or, buy a comfy gym towel ($25) to help make locker room showers a little more appealing. Do they have a gym bag that desperately needs to be retired? Give them a bag ($25) that will keep them organized and their change of clothes clean.

The Beauty Guru

Spa Day: Sephora unveils its 8 Masks Set, which includes sheet masks for your face, lips, hair and hands. (via Sephora)

Winter is usually not the Beauty Guru’s favorite time of year. Dry skin and heavy jackets can hurt anyone’s look. Brighten their season with a discounted Sephora/Ulta set ($5-$200) so that they can try out a variety of their new favorite products.
